Boone’s Fish House & Oyster Room is a two-story waterfront restaurant and event venue featuring two kitchens, two indoor bars, two outdoor bars, two decks and event space for a variety of group sizes, styles and budgets. Boone’s is located within walking distance of local downtown businesses and hotels.

The main event space has a variety of options available for events of all sizes, from weddings to business dinners. The event space is located on the second floor with options for private or semi-private. Large events who are interested, have the option to buy out the full second floor including the deck overlooking Portland Harbor. (Please be advised, stairs are the only access to the second floor),

History

Since 1898, Boone’s has been a landmark seafood restaurant, and popular beacon to Portland locals and visitors from around the world. Boone’s is located on Custom House Wharf in the Old Port district of downtown Portland. The historic dining destination is recognized as the birthplace of the Baked Stuffed Lobster—created by Alexander Boone.

After the longstanding Maine family business had closed for a few years, Boone’s Fish House & Oyster Room was introduced in 2013 by Darcy Smith, who undertook a year-long comprehensive renovation of the historic building.  For Darcy, a seasoned Portland restaurateur, reinventing Boone’s was a labor of love; she has fond childhood memories of enjoying Boone's clams and chowder as she and her grandfather, who lived on Peaks Island, made their way to catch the ferry.
